Sydney, Chicago and Beyond

September has been a very active month for Dr. Lewis Obi. His lectures in Chicago and Sydney, Australia were met with enthusiasm as Dr. Obi continues to establish a new paradigm for plastic surgery. “Plastic Surgery in the New Age: SlimLipo, Adivive, PRP and More” was the title of his presentations in Chicago and Sydney.

From Dr. Lewis Obi's Sydney Lecture
As a pioneering plastic surgeon for adult-based stem cell fat and laser lipolysis, he has made a significant contribution to the clinical practice of his specialty. This week, he is spearheading the third round of clinical studies for a new laser platform for the treatment of cellulite.

Dr. Lewis Obi and His Team Prepping for Surgery
Although Dr. Lewis Obi is a veteran plastic surgeon, what has maintained his preeminent and active status is that he continues to reinvent himself. Four years ago he was one of the first plastic surgeons to adopt the SlimLipo laser technology, 22 months ago the first to acquire an FDA approved stem cell fat processing system (Adivive) and now he is pioneering new laser technology. Also, within the next week, he is introducing the new Vectus™ hair laser as well as the Emerge™ fractional laser platform.

This wide array of advanced technologies are available only in major world class cities. However, all of the technology of our modern world has not replaced the artistic talents of the surgeon. Dr. Lewis Obi is perhaps the only plastic surgeon in the world who is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Art, FRSA (London). He epitomizes the quote “Medicine's contribution to art is the art of plastic surgery” (title of many of Dr. Lewis Obi’s lectures and publications).

Enhancing Breasts Without Implants

Dr. Lewis Obi is Asked to Share his Adivive Expertise with of Australia’s Cosmetic Surgery and Beauty Magazine.

Active involvement and contribution to medical studies and education is an important factor in the success of Dr. Lewis Obi and is reflected in his patient care.

As an internationally recognized plastic surgeon, Dr. Lewis Obi was recently interviewed as an authority on Adivive Breast Enhancing by Australia’s leading health and beauty magazine “Cosmetic Surgery and Beauty.” In the article, written by Jenni Gilbert, Dr. Obi is quoted regarding his use and success of the Adivive Fat Transfer System to date. Coincidentally, Dr. Obi acquired the first FDA approved unit in the United States in January of last year.

“In my experience, the Adivive Fat Transfer System provides a cleaner, more concentrated fat of extraordinary quality,” says Dr. Lewis Obi of his 25 years of experience with fat grafting.

Dr. Obi was also the first plastic surgeon in Jacksonville to utilize the Adivive Fat Processing Unit and has performed over 100 successful fat grafting procedures – anatomically this includes the face, neck and breasts.

Incidentally, Dr. Lewis Obi will be presenting at a major Australian symposium via Skype in September after a similar presentation on site in Chicago.

Be sure to read the upcoming September Obi Plastic Surgery Clinic newsletter for details of the article.

DR LEWIS OBI TO LECTURE AT AN ADVANCED LASER LIPOLYSIS SYMPOSIA

On November 13th Dr. Lewis Obi will be one of the featured speakers at the Palomar Advanced Symposium featuring the Slim Lipo laser lipolysis (LifeSculpt) and other body sculpturing techniques. In April of this year Dr. Obi was a presenter at the annual American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) in Washington D.C. He has presented, lectured and taught numerous plastic surgeons during the past two years. In addition to advanced laser techniques, the symposium in November includes a work shop on the advanced science of concentrating stem cells from human fat. This will provide the patient with a more effective and long lasting filler from the patient’s own fat. This new science will also be applicable in the area of breast reconstruction following mastectomy.
