LEWIS J. OBI, MD LECTURING AT THE 30TH ANNUAL AMERICAN ACADEMY OF COSMETIC SURGERY MEETING

In addition to his very busy surgery schedule, Dr. Obi is continuing to move forward with research projects in the areas of stem cells and lasers.  Next month he will be giving a lecture on the cosmetic uses of Adipose Derived Stem Cells in Hollwood, FL.

Dr. Obi will again share the podium with Mark Berman, the co-founder of the California Stem Cell Treatment Center. They will both discuss the use and applications of homologous fat processed into stem cell rich stromal vascular fraction (SVF).  Dr. Obi was the first plastic surgeon with a FDA approved Adivive processor whereas Dr. Berman obtained a prototype system directly from South Korea. Dr. Berman advanced into the therapeutic and regenerative realm by digesting and incubating the Adivive processed fat into a clear concentrate of SVF that may be injected into joints, other tissues and also intravenously to treat a wide host of diseases.

Please check back for a synopsis of the meeting and all the latest regarding stem cell therapy.
