A Salute to the Lewis Obi Plastic Surgery Clinical Team

It is not often that such a large number of dedicated and competent team of professionals with diverse skills come together into a solo plastic surgery practice. Only half of the sixteen dedicated staff members are pictured here during an event almost two years ago. Among our staff are five members who have been working with Dr. Lewis Obi for more than 25 years. Past staff members have advanced in their careers to become plastic surgeons, nurses, physician assistants and even art teachers. Currently, we are sponsoring young members of our staff to advance in various areas of public service including the field of plastic surgery. Most recently, we have been supportive of one of our surgical scrub techs to pursue the field of cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Lewis Obi has trained and interfaced with thousands of his colleagues during his long career. Ironically, he is more active in academics, research and plastic surgery today then he was in the past. Only last week, he was actively involved with advanced research utilizing surgical lasers in his surgery center. Two of the leading laser physicists were in attendance during these clinical studies on four different patients.

In addition to many new and advanced lasers, the team at the Obi Plastic Surgery Clinic have introduced new techniques of adult stem cell fat grafting both in the areas of aesthetic as well as reconstructive plastic surgery.
